  The Bob Dylan is (A) God Thread

  despite my avatar :o) i absolutely love all kinds of music.. one of my favorites is bob dylan.....the guy is a genius.. many people cant get past his singing, but his songwriting and importance to music in the last 40 years is undeniable.. he is one of my absolute heroes........ this is one my favorites:.

  Robert Zimmerman, aka Bob Dylan, spent his earliest years living in a house a couple of blocks from my house. While there is no plaque saying "Bob Dylan lived here," the occasional fan does stop by to take a photo. It is an unremarkable duplex that needs some fixin' up. Dylan is a Hillside kid who did good.

  Watchtower cleans out Kingdom Hall Library's ...

  last night i got a call from a chap in the uk, who recently left the jw's.

  he wanted to compare notes with his us counterparts.. he said that a few years ago, (i think about 2 years ago) the society cleaned out all the literature from every kingdom hall, particularly russell and rutherford books and anything prior to 1950. giving each hall a computer with the watchtower cd rom for them to use for research.

  he wanted to know if the same was done in the states.

  I think it is fine and dandy for a couple of elders to give their sales pitch in a church. I do wonder if the elders who did the presentation will attend any of the other presentations offered by the church and if they will encourage the area jw's to do the same.
